Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026.
This policy covers thecricket.physio and the enquiries sent through it. Clinical records for appointments are kept in one Halaxy record, whichever practice you book through, and the Bridge Road privacy policy governs those.
What this website collects
The ordinary enquiry forms send what you type to my email inbox at info@thecricket.physio, where I read and answer it myself. Those forms do not write submissions to an enquiry database. Enquiry emails are kept for 12 months, then deleted, unless an enquiry becomes part of a clinical record.
The Player Support Audit and its staff workspace are not available for public use in this website-only release. They do not collect assessment submissions through this release. Any future activation requires a separate collection notice and clinical and privacy review.
- Question form (contact page): your name, email address, what your question is about, how you want a reply, a phone number if you ask for a call, and your question. It is for questions about booking and services. Please leave health details out of it.
- Expression of interest (holding page, while used): your name, email address, which of a short list of descriptions fits you, an optional note about what you would want, and your consent to be emailed about it. Please leave health details out of it.
- Team and organisation enquiry (teams page): your own name, email address, optional phone, organisation, organisation type, country or time zone, service interest, optional non-sensitive requirements, and consent to reply.
- Professional player and agent enquiry (professional players page): your own name, email address, optional phone, role, optional team or agency, country or time zone, service interest, preferred contact method, optional non-sensitive requirements, and consent to reply.
- Referral enquiry (referrals page): your own name, email address, optional phone, profession, optional organisation, country or time zone, referral interest, preferred contact method, optional non-sensitive requirements, and consent to reply. Do not enter a patient's name or clinical history; any relevant clinical records are arranged separately.
- Education enquiry (education page): your own name, email address, optional phone, an optional topic from a fixed list, organisation, audience, format, approximate group size, location, an optional preferred date, optional non-sensitive requirements, and consent to reply.
- Club enquiry (club packages page): the club's name, competition level, squad size and support, what the club wants help with, and your name, role, email address and phone number. Please leave individual players' health details out of it.
- Player membership application (player memberships page): your name, contact details, age, location, playing level and role, club, current support team, the membership you are interested in and why, and, if you choose to give it, a brief description of a current injury. For players under 18 it also asks for a parent or guardian's name and email address. The form only sends once you tick the consent box, and the information is used to work out which membership suits you and to contact you about it.
Once your enquiry has reached me, you get a short automatic email receipt at the address you gave. It repeats nothing you wrote.
Form submissions are relayed to my inbox by Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States, so the message passes through servers outside Australia on the way.
To stop automated abuse, the form handler keeps a count of recent sends from each internet address, in the server's memory only, for no more than a day. If a submission fails a check, the error log records which check failed and which fields arrived, never what you wrote.
The Cricket Physio marketing pages load no advertising trackers, social media pixels or session recording. This website-only release does not provide staff sign-in, set its own authentication cookies or save answers in browser storage. Sending a service enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
The Ask a question assistant
The assistant is automated. It is not a physiotherapist and it cannot assess an injury. It answers from a fixed set of answers I have written, and it runs entirely inside the page in your browser.
- What you type is not sent to me, to this website's server or to any other service.
- It is not stored in your browser, and it is gone when you close or reload the page.
- It is never passed to analytics. The page notes only that the assistant was opened, a new chat was started, or one of the starting questions was chosen (by its number), and at present those notes go nowhere: the analytics this site uses counts page views only.
The assistant loads only when you open it. Because nothing leaves your device, it makes no difference to your privacy whether you are an adult or a junior player, but please still leave personal health details out: the assistant does not need them and cannot use them.
The guides
Three short guides help you choose: What does your cricket need next?, Find your level for memberships, and the club package guide. Like the assistant, they run entirely inside the page in your browser, from rules I have written.
- Your answers are not sent anywhere and not stored. They are gone when you close or reload the page.
- Analytics notes only that a guide was started, which step number was completed, that a result was shown, and whether a booking or follow-up button was pressed. Never your answers, your age group, a safety answer or the result itself. At present those notes go nowhere: the analytics this site uses counts page views only.
- The guides do not diagnose, and the safety question sends you to urgent medical help, not to a form.
If you ask me to follow up, the follow-up form sends your name, email address, phone number if you want a call, how you prefer to be contacted, who is asking (a player, parent, coach, clinician, agent or manager, or organisation), the broad topic, whether it is about a player under 18, your region, your consent, and the campaign source if you arrived from an advertisement. None of your other answers are sent. Even a broad topic such as "an injury or pain" is health information, which is why the form asks for your consent. For a player under 18, a parent or guardian confirms their role, or a coach or clinician confirms the parent or guardian knows.
The WhatsApp links open a chat with 0458 007 583 in WhatsApp, with a short first line already typed. Messages you send are handled by WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms, under its own terms and privacy policy, which involve processing outside Australia. Use WhatsApp for general questions about booking and services. It is not for emergencies, and please do not send health histories, scans or reports through it.
Fonts
Typefaces are served from this website. Your browser makes no request to Google or any other font service.
Analytics
This site counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel, the company that hosts the site. I use it to see which parts of the site people visit, not to identify anyone.
- It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- For each page view it records the page's address and the site you came from, and broad details such as your country, device type and browser. Anything after a ? in the address is removed first, except the campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) on links I place in advertisements.
- Nothing you type into a form, the assistant or a guide is sent to it.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the page does not load it and your visit is not counted.
- Vercel is based in the United States, so this information is processed outside Australia.
The site also names certain interactions, such as a click on a booking button, inside the page itself, so that a future analytics tool picks them up. At present those names are not sent anywhere. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change is made.
Links to other sites
Links to Bridge Road Physiotherapy, the Halaxy booking system and the Bowling Workload Tool take you to services with their own privacy policies. Read those for how they handle your information.
Health information
The player application and the professional player enquiry are the only forms that ask about health, and only briefly. Keep it short: the detailed history is taken at your assessment, where it is recorded in a clinical record and protected under health records legislation. Email is not a fully secure channel, so do not send more than the form asks for, and do not send health information through the question, team or club forms, WhatsApp or the assistant.
Members
If you become a member, the bowling, soreness and training information you record is held in the Bowling Workload Tool, which has its own privacy policy. Who else sees it, such as a coach, an S&C coach or a club, is decided by the consent you give during onboarding, and you withdraw that consent whenever you choose. For players under 18, a parent or guardian gives consent. The player memberships page sets this out in plain terms.
Access, correction and complaints
To ask what information is held about you, to correct it, or to make a complaint, email info@thecricket.physio. If you are not satisfied with the response, you are able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
